How Cladco used Unbounce landing pages to get sample packs to their customers.

About The Client

Cladco Profiles is an independently owned family-run company established in 1972 – which has grown to be the UK’s leading supplier of composite decking products, serving thousands of happy customers every month.

The Problem

Cladco knew their product really well – and knew that getting sample packs out to potential customers could have a really positive effect overall sales. While a handful of sample packs were being sold through Social channels, the eComm website lacked the functionality to build a dedicated feature-led, conversion focused landing page showcasing the decking sample packs.


We created pages focused on showcasing the features & benefits of Cladco’s decking – which also detailed exactly what the customer could expect from their sample pack. Knowing these users would be coming to the site ‘cold’, we incorporated a TrustPilot widget showing Cladco’s positive rating, as well as linking off to their fully managed social channels.

Our goal was to maximise conversion rate, so we used Google Optimize to tailor our in-page messaging to the user – e.g. a Liverpool-based user would see the message ‘Get a free sample delivered to Liverpool’, while a user in Cardiff would see the message ‘Get a free sample delivered to Cardiff.’ If the system didn’t know their geo-location – the page would read ’Get a free sample delivered to your door’.


The effect of landing social traffic on the dedicated pages rather than on the ecommerce site was hugely significant. After 3 months of activity we’d seen conversion rate increase more than triple (up 338%) – driving CPA down by 66%.
